Descripción
In this fourth video lecture in the Chess Chatter series, I teach how to profit from sacrificing pieces. By demonstrating some combinations which I executed in my own games, I endeavour to explain the mechanics behind such small brilliancies. The philosophy is that material can be compensated by time, space, and structure (the three other chess principles). Time can be the most decisive factor in a sacrificial attack, because the gambit frequently grants its player a dangerous initiative. |
