The 105 pounds prize was nice, but most enjoyable was the Weald Congress itself, which was well-organized and a pleasure to socialize within. Playing blitz with Ian Snape (who outplayed meoverall, but could scrape only a draw against my 4...Ng8 Steinitz French!) was great fun, and I met many friendly people. My most enjoyable tournament so far, which - with a barbecue and great weather - was a delightful weekend holiday! 0-1 |
