This game is a Smith-Morra gambit which I like to refer to as a field of land mines (hence the demilitarized zone -- the largest landmine field on the planet, if I'm not mistaken). I have a way I play against the Smith-Morra that seems to avoid most of the traps. My opponent did not play the usual way as white and I was able to whip up a nice counter-attack. |
