IBM Super Computer, Deep Blue, forces Garry Kasparov into checkmate 19 moves. This was the first time a computer was able to beat a world champion chess player in a series of games. Since Kasparov was defeated in such a short time, he accused the Deep Blue team of cheating and demanded a rematch but IBM declined. |
